2 Wheels 1 Compass
2 Wheels 1 Compass
Hello all, I’m Jimbo, a Motovlogger. I ride my motorcycle across the world and talk about the history and culture of the places I visit.
Destined not to live from 'Cradle to Cubicle to Grave', I saved up for a motorcycle and purchased video equipment almost a decade ago.
In the past I developed video production skills as a hobby making home movies as a teenager.
After spending years working jobs I’ve despised over the course of my 20s, I aimed to leave everything behind and live on my motorcycle, following my dream.
I’m still practicing and honing my craft, and this 2W1C Project has certainly taken me places.
I’m using this platform, and many other social media outlets, to tell the stories of the places I visit. They range in everything from local wars, holidays, religious pilgrimage sites, cultural landmarks, and my personal struggles traveling to all of these locations.
I do Facebook and Instagram reels on things I see or experience, and write blogs on my experiences. I have more in-depth YouTube episodes from my older experiences, and even go into motorcycle riding critiques and some wild special projects.
What's my status?
If you’re reading this, it means I’m currently on the Big Trip.
For 7 years, I’d been saving and practicing riding motorcycles long
distances cross-country. I’ve finally pulled the trigger and left everything
behind.
I ended my lease on my apartment, sold my car, donated my mattress, quit my job, packed everything into a storage locker (this background image), and I’ve left home for an undetermined amount of time.
The goal is to travel the Americas from the top to the bottom.
From Deadhorse, Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina.
When I get to the bottom of South America I will decide whether to
continue or return to a more sedentary life.
